Preparing for CompTIA SecAI+? You are in the right place. This is the written companion to the CY0-001 practice exams, a complete walk through everything the test covers, gathered in one place. SecAI+ is new: version 1 launched on 17 February 2026, and it is written for people who already work in security, with options phrased in the vocabulary of NIST, OWASP and the EU AI Act rather than of any vendor. Expect up to 60 questions, multiple choice and performance based, in 60 minutes, passing at 600 on a scale of 100 to 900.
One question runs underneath every item: what is the AI in this scenario? The same model is a different problem when it is the attacker's tool, when it is the thing being attacked, when it is doing the defending, and when it is the thing you have to answer for. The signature item offers four plausible controls, three of them answering a question the stem never asked, so naming the role beats knowing any one control. And where two answers both work, this exam prefers the one that assumes the model will be wrong: shrink what a wrong output can reach, and keep a named person in front of anything wide or irreversible.
Those roles are what make the four domains one story. AI Cybersecurity Fundamentals (17%) names them and supplies the vocabulary the other three assume. AI Systems Security, the largest single domain at 40%, is the model as the target: what you are protecting, where it runs, who is coming for it. AI-Assisted Security (24%) is AI doing the defending, where the verdict and the authority to act on it are two separate questions. AI Governance, Risk, and Compliance (19%) is the model you have to be defensible about, from the obligation to the evidence a stranger can read.
